Bought this to use at my daughter's when we babysit the grandkids - no extra rooms or beds to use so had been using aeorbeds - this is easier to pull out and put down on the floor - fairly comfortable but would like a full - holds its shape very well - does not bend down when you sit on it - holds 180 lbs with no problem.

I was using a softer futon before and I sleep much better on this firmer one and don't toss and turn as much. Yes it is firm, but I've slept on it 3 nights in a row and have slept like a baby. I haven't really tried it as a chair yet.

I had a preformed opinion about this product, since when I was a kid, my family had a similarly-shaped futon that was incredibly soft and comfy.
This was intended to replace the blow up bed in our spare room, which bit the dust after about a year of being in the inflated state almost constantly.
I flopped down onto this immediately after it arrived, and promptly jolted my spine!
While it is solidly constructed, it is way too hard. It is also a little too narrow, which is something I was aware of before I bought it.
I really wanted this to work out, especially since it was too tough to return, given my visions of wrapping it back up, hauling it downstairs and scheduling a pickup date.
So, it has sat in the spare bedroom ever since we got it, the punishment bed of whichever of us snores the loudest.
I will say, in all honesty, that it is great for jumping on. If you want some cardiovascular exercise but can't disturb the neighbors, this is actually a decent option.
I discovered this bonus feature while attempting to soften the bed in this manner, which has not had much success as of yet.
Sorry, but I can't recommend this, unless you need an exceptionally firm bed.
